compromise.

hi world. I'm back. i am not really sure if its for long. good thing, i have something to write about, but  not so sure if it will have sense at all. i don't know why i started writing again? its probably one way of excusing myself not to do my assignment in Cardio, which is almost a week late. Gosh, I've been wasting a lot of my precious time doing nothing and thinking what i should do? waaaaaaaaaaahh, nonsense.

lately, I've been distracted reading novels again. i was convinced to start reading the 50 shades of grey trilogy, which was suggested by some of my friends online. i enjoyed the first book. it will definitely possessed you...making you vulnerable and wanting...

the story was mainly about the love and sex affair of Christian Grey, a business tycoon, and Anastasia Steele, a college graduate. it is mostly about abnormal sexual practices, interplay between dominance and submission. because of its bold and erotic story lines, the 2nd and 3rd book was banned in UAE.

I'm done reading the book 1 and all i can say is that "relationship is not solely about sex." Christian Grey might have influenced us that being dominant in a relationship allows you to get whatever you want. On the other hand, Anastasia Steele highlights the importance of "compromise" which will allow both parties to benefit with each other.

To COMPROMISE means...

                 ... to cooperate
                 ... to make settlement
                 ... to negotiate
                 ... to understand
                 ... to give and take.

This powerful word is the very reason why relationship last long.

Last week (August 1, 2012), we celebrated our 3rd year anniversary. we both are very happy because even if we don't have that perfect relationship, we are able to tolerate each other that long. i just hope to have more years with him.

more, more love on our 3rd year.

selfish me.

I was watching PBB Teen Edition last night. Since its mother's day, Big Brother allowed the housemates to meet and talk to their mom in person. They were asked by kuya whether they would want their mom to visit. Each one of them will enter a dark room, inside is one table with a lamp. If they want to invite their mom to come, they need to turn on the lamp. Almost all of them want their mom to come and join them but one housemate refuses to do so. Its not that she doesn't like to see her mom. It's not that she doesn't miss her. She decided not to invite her because no one will take care of her brothers and sisters at home. She was trying to tell herself that she can manage alone but her siblings might without her mom. See how much she loves and cares for her family? Watching that episode made me realize how selfish I am. Just today, I was feeling sad because my bf will go for vacation tom and unluckily I will not be with him. Selfish me! I should be happy for him because he will be with his family again after almost 11 months. I feel so bad being me. This just proves how selfish and immature I am. Sorry...

my personal experience of love

I’ve read so many books that talked about love and I can say that no author is good and qualified enough to define, let alone describe it. We all have our own experience: of love, of loving and of being loved. Some are lucky to find it, others are not. In most cases it comes the least we expect it.

Love takes us by surprise.

Yes, love took me by surprise. It came into my life without me knowing it. It came just like that. It came exactly the time when I was in love with someone else. I was not prepared for it. I was wrong to believe that I was deeply in love with that person. Because if I was I won’t feel any doubt, I won’t let any chance for another one to come into my life.

But, love takes us by surprise.

I met a total stranger who changed the path I was traveling long before. I thought I was living my life the way it should be. I thought I was happy. I thought I didn’t need anyone and anything else and that no one could change the way I’m feeling…but I was so wrong…

…Because Love takes me by surprise.

The new love was greater than I was experiencing. He came and he changed everything. At first I sense that it was merely a feeling that will pass…something that will not last…but I was totally wrong…because it does stay. I don’t know until when but even if it will go for sure it will leave a mark.

Love takes me by surprise.

We had been introduced. We exchanged smile. We talked in a casual way. We chat. We exchange calls and text messages. We stayed like this for months. I was able to know him better. He was able to know me better. We became friends but it didn’t just stop there.

Love takes me by surprise.

Emotions are getting stronger and in everyday it is getting better and brighter. We started feeling in love…until we decided to be “in a relationship”. Our world became bigger. We both became part of each other’s world. I started to call him my “MINE”.

Love takes me by surprise.

We are “in a relationship” for almost a year and 6 months…and I can tell that I was never been this happy and contented in my life. We might not have the perfect boyfriend-girlfriend relationship but it doesn’t matter because we both are willing to compromise for each other. We both will do our best to make things work between us.

the story of us

i watched the movie "the story of us". It was actually one of my DVD collections but never did i try watching it.

the opening of the story is quite boring but it was actually a meaningful film for me. it was about a couple struggling to save their marriage for the sake of their children. They used to be a happy family before but complication arises. Arguments became part of their relationship until there came a time that they dont even want to communicate with each other anymore. they are just pretending that everything is okay in front of their kids. They did try to inform their children about it but unable to do so.

both of them used to remember about everything they had been through...happy and sad memories...

...in the end they realized that they still love each other and they are still willing to give it another try...still hope to live happily ever after...

private property

-->
She desires and deserves to be love. Similar to all other human beings, she needs someone to be with her side; someone who could understand her deeply even her shortcomings; someone who will inspire her not only to become better but to be in her best; someone who will remind her to take a break if things are getting out of control. Someone who will whole-heartedly accept her past, help her live with the present and be with her in welcoming the future. That someone needs not to be perfect. Being with that special someone can make her life a bit easier and worth living for. Finding and loving that someone would be her greatest victory. She might not ask for more…but that “someone” cannot be her private property.

We cannot own the one we love. -cha-

the choice

“For an instant, she thought she’d simply turn and leave. But again their eyes met and held for just a beat too long, and before she realized what was happening, Travis placed a hand on her hip, his lips neither soft nor hard against hers. It took an instant for her brain to register what was happening, and then she pushed him back.”

say it loud

Only I will say yes if you’re ready to say it loud so as the whole world will hear you…

my new shoes

A new pair of shoes gives you excitement but what if you have to choose between 2 pairs. One is new and the other one old but you very well love it. You are confused because you need to dispose one pair of shoes, whether to keep the old and not to buy the new or to throw the old shoes and buy the new one. It was not a big deal for some but for you it is because you only have one space left in your shoe rack so you cant keep them both…you really need to choose.

Having options is very rewarding but the hardest part of it is that you have to pick one (strictly one ONLY) between those options. Opinions from others might help but in the end you are alone to decide. Smart decision making is a must because once you dispose one pair, there is no turning back. Remember the “No return no exchange” policy.

Comparison between them might also help somehow…

The new one has exactly the kind and style everyone is searching for. It was very simple but attractive. Its beauty is ideal for all. Most people around you definitely like it. They prefer it more than the old shoes you have been wearing for years. As for your own personal preference, you honestly like it also but there is a big question mark. “Should you keep it to replace the old?” What if you will not be comfortable wearing it? What if it will not last long?

The old shoes on the other hand, was one of your favorite. You only not like it but you love it as well. It was not that very stylish but its design is exotic…very rare. Unlike the new one, it was not the ideal shoes. In fact most of the people are not pleased to look at it but it was very comfortable. It’s always there when you needed it; never fail to make you happy. It has served you for years but all things have their imperfections and as time passed by, it’s already hurting you. It’s not that very comfortable than before. Are you ready to dispose it? “Are you ready to let go?”

…I keep on thinking about it every now and then. I don’t know what will happen after I finally choose. I really don’t know. The only one thing that is clear with me right now is that I’m willing to take a risk. I think I’m ready to welcome the new and say goodbye to the old. Oh God blessed my new shoes so it will serve very well its new master.

marriage thing

well, recently, i saw this couple passed by in front of me as i was walking home. they haven't notice me at all. They were old (maybe around 60-70 i guess) and they were actually walking holding each other's hand.

Before, i use to tell myself many times that i will marry by age 25. i'm 22 already and by February 2008 i'm turning 23. gosh, 2 years nlng. Pano kung wala p ung right guy? pano kung anjan n pero di nmn pwede? Pano kung ikasal nga ako pero di nmn ako maging masaya? pano kung im not really meant to marry? ewan.

Bilis ng panahon noh? before i was just asking for a perfect and sweet boyfriend...

...ung parati kong makakasama,

...ung palaging may time para sakin
pero now iba na. mas higher level kung baga. gusto ko ung makakasama ko habang buhay. someone who will be a good husband and more importantly a good father to my children. we all want this right? perhaps kasi pag marriage n pinag uusapan ibang level nrin ng relationship. maraming pagdadaanan kaya dapat ung "partner" natin handa ring harapin kahit ano just to make the relationship work and save the marriage even when things seems impossible.
everyday i met different couples karamihan mga bata p...18 palng may asawa na...and mukha nmn silang happy with their life. it made me ask myself "am I too young or too old to get married?" I can't answer it. perhaps, being totally naive about this whole marriage thing i dont know. i really dont know.
